Cupra earrings
Cupra earrings
I’m an archaeology enthusiast…many of my jewelry designs are deeply influenced by the jewelry I read about in books and my ever present Archaeology Magazine. I love imagining how the beautiful jewelry we dig up out of tombs and the ground was made millennia ago. Who wore those tiny ancient artworks? What meaning did each piece convey? These earrings are made with natural green aventurine beads, the gemstone associated with Cupra, the Etruscan Fertility Goddess. There’s also an amethyst bead in there for contrast. I like to imagine an ancient woman on the cusp of motherhood wearing these earrings as a gesture of gratitude to the goddess.
The circles in these earrings are handmade and hammered, and all findings are made of sterling silver.
